New Antenna Radio Tester Checks Receiver Function
TX and RX checking in a convenient, easy to use meter
Testing the VHF radio and antenna system on a boat can be done by calling for a radio check. However, these calls can be ignored and may provide an inaccurate assessment. The new V-Tronix ART-3, by Shakespeare, antenna radio tester provides a solution.
Unlike other meters in its class, the ART-3 tests receiver function as well as transmitter output power and antenna efficiency (VSWR). The ART-3 is powered by an internal battery or it can be connected to the boat's 12 VDC with the supplied power cable. Its battery level can be checked at the flip of a switch. The compact device is easy to use and a necessity for all serious boaters.
V-Tronix are a world leader in the design and manufacture of antennas for marine applications. Each fibreglass antenna is built with precision because the company understands that a marine radio is only as good as its antenna. The company offers high-quality, reliable products for craft ranging from small bass boats to large commercial vessels.
